Save the Children Symposium on June 5

Greetings Philadelphia Leader,

The SCOP of the Department of Human Services invite professionals, politicians, youth, parents, local businesses, community stakeholders and concerned individuals about our youth (ages 11-24) to join us at the Save the Children Symposium on June 5, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The symposium will be held at the Open Door Mission True Light Church located at 401 N. 52ND Street in Philadelphia, PA 19139.

We are asking that everyone would outreach to 10 youth and bring them to this most informing youth-directed symposium. Our Keynote Speaker will be Jordan Harris, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Youth commission and a Special Speaker: Ahkeem Towles, Founder of Youth Stepping Up to Make A Difference along with George Mosee, Juvenile Justice District Attorney’s Office. We are searching for panelists that feel that they have a positive message for the youth and will listen to the youth as they inform the City of Philadelphia on the possible solutions that they feel will make a difference.

Contact: Evang. Rachel McClinton at rmctrain@gmail.com to register or to express your desire to be a panelist.
