Delaware State Police are looking for a woman in a blue veil who they say tried to rob a Kohl’s Department Store in North Wilmington.¬†Authorities say the incident happened at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when the woman approached the jewelry counter, picking out a watch to purchase. When a clerk rang up the sale, police say the woman said she didn’t have any money. Police say she opened her purse, displaying what appeared to be a silver handgun, and tried to open the register. The clerk tried to call for help, but the suspect allegedly knocked the phone out of her hand. The veiled woman ran out of the store empty-handed. Authorities say a woman matching the description in the Kohl’s robbery attempt held up a JCPenney clerk on Sunday at Christiana Mall, fleeing with cash and merchandise.

Pennsylvania Couple Dismember Body

Authorities are looking for a Pennsylvania couple suspected of killing a man and stuffing his body parts in a backpack and under a bed at a Los Angeles hotel. Melissa and Edward Garcia Jr. are charged with torturing and murdering a Hollywood man at the Continental Hotel near Skid Row. The Los Angeles Times said Wednesday a housekeeper discovered the body parts of 49-year-old Herbert Tracy White on Nov. 29 in a backpack left in a room. More parts were found wrapped in blankets under the bed. Police detective Kelle Baitx says the body was in five pieces, with the limbs removed. Baitx says it appears that White was killed during a robbery that went wrong and the killers were trying to remove the body.

Attendant Shot At NJ Gas Station

Mercer County authorities are searching for three suspects in the shooting of an attendant at a Hamilton Township gas station. The shooting occurred just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Runway Gas Station located in the 1700 block of Greenwood Avenue. Hamilton Township Police say the 45-year-old male attendant was in a booth when he was approached by three men wearing masks and hoodies. One of the men fired into the booth, striking the attendant in the abdomen. The victim was reported conscious and alert when police arrived. The man was taken to Capital Health System Fuld Campus in Trenton. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot towards Walnut Street.
